Genesis seems to have had a hit with the 2022 GV70
Genesis might be a bit late for the SUV party, but with the new and bigger GV70 GV80 It looks like it spawned two gorgeous luxury SUVs that serve as fit competitors for the Germans.
In this clip, Asian Petrolhead got the chance to test 2022 GV70 On the streets just two weeks after the SUV was unveiled. Obviously, it will be some time before journalists outside of Korea can test the GV70, but in this initial review, it looks like it scored the highest score.

The example tested here is the pioneer GV70 Sports It features a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that produces 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. Thanks to this engine and four-wheel drive system, the SUV can reach 60 mph (96 km / h) in just 5.1 seconds. Reviewers recommend the 3.5-liter engine, but for those wanting increased fuel efficiency, the entry-level model that comes with a 2.5-liter turbo four-speed 300 hp and 311 lbf (422 Nm) is probably the best option.
In addition to the impressive engines, Genesis has equipped the GV70 with stacks of driver assistance systems, including Highway Driving Assistance II that features adaptive cruise control with lane centering function and lane change assist. There is also a Smart Cruise Control system that slows down the curves, while another interesting piece of art is the fingerprint scanner on the dashboard that allows drivers to start the car without the key.
