‚King’s Man‘ and ‚Bob’s Burgers‘ are among the latest Disney movie delays

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect Hollywood, Disney Another last round of films.

On Friday, several titles, all from 20th Century Studios and the company’s Searchlight banner, moved from the first half of the year. Among them was „The King’s Man“, which ran from March 12 to August 20, while the family animated movie „Ron’s Gone Wrong“ was shown from April 23 to October 22. „Bob’s Burgers“, a movie based on the popular TV show set for April 9th, has been removed from the release schedule entirely.

Meanwhile, four new titles were awarded for the Searchlight release: the horror film „The Night House“ (July 16), Jessica Chastain’s lead biography „The Eyes of Tammy Faye“ (September 24), and the superhero thriller „Antlers“ (October 29 in limited edition) and Guillermo del Toro’s twisted suspense drama „Nightmare Alley“ (December 3 in limited edition).

Before Friday’s announcement, „The King’s Man“, which has been postponed multiple times amid the pandemic, was the only studio movie still scheduled for release in early 2021. Several high-profile films have been postponed in the past 12 hours. With MGM pushing „No Time to Die“ into October, Sony moved to „Ghostbusters: Afterlife“ and „Cinderella“ with Camila Cabello and „Morbius“ later in the year.

Disney did not mention „Black Widow“, the Marvel movie starring Scarlett Johansson and scheduled to release on May 7, 2021. But there is a chance that the studio will eventually transfer that movie as well, unless the Coronavirus pandemic improves dramatically next month.

Matthew Vaughn directed „The King’s Man,“ the third installment in the series after „The Secret Service“ and „The Golden Circle.“ The latest movie, set in the early 1900s, depicts historical tyrants and criminal masterminds as they devise a war that could wipe out millions. The actors include Ralph Fiennes, Djimon Hounsou, Gemma Arterton, and Daniel Brule.
